Respiratory & Sleep Medicine
UK King’s Daughters Pulmonary Services offer respiratory therapists and polysomnography technicians a variety of environments and options. We offer specialized treatment for COPD, asthma, lung nodules, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep disorders through the Pulmonary Rehabilitation program, Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic, and the Sleep Lab. Therapists will find the opportunities to expand their skills in these various areas. Our brand new, state-of-the-art, 16-bed Sleep Lab is the largest in the tri-state area and offers therapists and polysomnography techs the opportunity to work outside the hospital in a quiet and remote location with plenty of parking and easy access.
Imaging
Whether inpatient or outpatient, UK King’s Daughters offers a wide variety of opportunities in imaging. Radiology technologists can find opportunities in the Breast Care Center, Diagnostic X-Ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound. King’s Daughters is proud to be accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Accreditation is voluntary in Kentucky and involves the review of the physicians’, technologists’, and sonographers’ educational achievements, equipment maintenance and quality control, record keeping, and department policies and procedures.
Pharmacy
UK King’s Daughters provides comprehensive pharmacy services for patients being treated throughout the hospital, as well as outpatient clinics. With state-of-the-art facilities, our team of board-certified pharmacists, residents, interns, technicians, and students offers robust clinical services for our hospitalized patients as well as patients treated in our outpatient infusion centers.
Therapy
UK King’s Daughters offers a variety of therapy services including outpatient, inpatient, long-term care, and home health. Programs include sports medicine, neuralgic diseases, orthopedics, pediatrics, work injury, lymphedema, and arthritis pain care.
Laboratory
UK King’s Daughters lab services provide services for both inpatient and outpatient needs and process over 5,000 specimens a day. Professionals in phlebotomy, medical lab technician, and chemistry aide looking for a fast-paced work environment will find many opportunities in our locations across the hospital, King's Daughters Ohio, and the Emergency Department.
Social Work
Social workers at UK King’s Daughters practice in increasingly specialized environments including oncology, behavioral health, and emergency/trauma. Acute care social workers can make an immediate, positive impact in the life of an individual or family. Home Health
Our Home Health team provides quality healthcare services in the comfort of the patient’s home. By working as a team, patients, their families, physicians, and home health caregivers can speed recovery from an illness or injury. Patients can remain independent and feel secure in their own homes. Career opportunities include skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, home health aide, social services, cardiac care, and more. We provide services to patients residing in Carter, Boyd, and Greenup counties in Kentucky.
Medical Assistant
In UK King’s Daughters physician offices and clinics, Certified Medical Assistants play an integral role in patient care. With a variety of specialties and locations in which to work, CMAs are relied upon for their thorough cross training to carry out administrative as well as clinical duties and are instrumental in helping outpatients feel at ease during their visit.
Medical Practice Management
UK King’s Daughters has over 20 physician offices, family care centers, urgent care, and clinic locations outside of the hospital, which provide medical services to a territory roughly the size of New Jersey. These locations offer many career options, including patient/office coordinator, physician office facilitator, practice manager, clerk, and many more.
