Summary

  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Responsible for the developing design of functional specifications of IT systems. Produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements. Troubleshoots issues and delivers solutions in a timely fashion. Trains and mentors new analysts.  With PMO assistance, leads multiple projects, include those with a large scope.

  • DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Responsible for gathering, compiling and synthesizing information in regards to technology processes or systems. 
    • Work with business function managers, users, and IST staff to develop business requirements and analyze/model current and proposed information and business process flows.
    • Assist in architectural design of systems and new technologies. Designs and codes programs; evaluates, debugs, documents and implements purchased programs
    • Ensuring proper testing, change management, and audits are observed for all system changes.
    • Assist in the management and maintenance of all production and nonproduction relational databases including operations administration, security administration, object administration, space management and server installation.
    • Monitor systems for resource utilization and provide ongoing trend analysis for determining current need and forecasting future resource requirements.
    • Responsible for selecting appropriate tools to develop systems and software. Provide recommendations for upgrade paths based on business trends and business processing requirements.
    • Perform system reporting and query development, develop system documentation, performs on-call systems maintenance, systems migration, arranges or provides training for system users.
    • Onboards, trains and mentors new analysts
    • Leads application team efforts to improve service and achieve successful strategic goals by working closely with organizational stakeholders. 
  • EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
    • Minimum requirement:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, training and certification from an accredited technical institution, or equivalent experience.
      • Advanced PC based product knowledge.
      • Application Certification(s) or proficiency within 6 months of hire.
      • Minimum of five or more years of progressively responsible experience in information technology including project management and application support.

    • This job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers.
    • Occasionally requires travel to and from off-site locations
    • The noise level in this position is usually low.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    • Frequently required to maintain a stationary position behind a computer or while presenting to individuals or groups.
    • Frequently required to move about throughout the Medical Center or while rounding.
    • Constantly required to communicate with people electronically, telephonically and in-person requiring talking and hearing.
    • Constantly required to operate a computer and telephone.
    • Constantly required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
    • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
