Responsible for coordinating pharmacy services and ensuring that the pharmacy provides optimal services on a daily basis. Interacts with the Pharmacy Manager to facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies and technology

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:
- Coordinate the drug distribution and clinical pharmacy activities for nursing and support departments with the hospital
- Responsible for safe and efficient methods for coordination of established pharmacy policy concerning drug patient care
- Provide clinical drug information to meet the needs of the patient, nurse and physician
- Prepares reports on pharmaceutical care programs
- Establishes productive collaborative relationship with physicians and other hospital staff
- Ensure applicable CE records and licensure are maintained in a retrievable fashion
- Supervise other Pharmacist in the Pharmacy
- Perform evaluations on Technician and Pharmacist that work in the Family Pharmacy

EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
-
Minimum requirement:
-
Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy or PharmD degree
-
6-12 months of retail Pharmacist experience
-
Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist license
-
Ohio Pharmacist license obtained within 90 days of hire
-
Achieves and maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
-
Achieves and maintains American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support within first 90 days of employment
-
Functional knowledge of USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, Joint Commission regulations, and federal and state regulations
-
Certified to administer Immunizations per the laws of the Kentucky and Ohio State Boards of Pharmacy.
