Job Summary

Responsible for teaching BLS, ACLS, PALS, and other ECC courses through the CPR training center. Executes certification processes for students in emergency cardiac care courses. Coordinates training sessions to ensure comprehensive instruction and skill development. Ensures compliance with established guidelines and standards for emergency cardiac care education. Supports continuous improvement of training programs and student outcomes.


Essential Functions

• Maintains current American Heart Association ECC instructor certification in BLS, ACLS, or PALS and adheres to associated standards and guidelines.

• Teaches a minimum of eight classes per calendar year.

• Utilizes training center’s approved methods and materials.

• Starts classes on time.

• Collects class fees using proper money handling procedures and submits them promptly.

• Completes and submits required paperwork within 24 hours of each class.

• Distributes completion cards to students within 24 hours of receipt.

• Cleans and organizes the classroom before and after each class.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Education Requirement

Specialized technical, vocational education in the field of healthcare or clinical setting, or equivalent



Experience Requirement

1-2 years of experience in healthcare administration , or a relevant area


An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

All experience must be paid and in the same related field.

Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.

Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.


Certifications & Licensures

Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license, ECC instructor/provider Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
