Job Summary

Responsible for learning and performing foundational clinical and administrative tasks under direct supervision to support patient care delivery and clinic operations. Assists healthcare team members in providing quality service, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring a safe and efficient clinical environment. Develops clinical competence through observation, hands-on practice, and participation in patient care activities. Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and commitment to learning in alignment with organizational standards and values. Ensures adherence to established protocols, confidentiality, and patient safety regulations.

Essential Functions

• Assists in preparing examination rooms and ensuring equipment and supplies are available.

• Greets and rooms patients, verifies information, and records vital signs and basic health data.

• Supports providers and medical assistants during patient examinations and minor procedures.

• Observes and practices documentation of patient information in the electronic medical record.

• Assists with scheduling, filing, and other administrative duties to maintain clinic workflow.

• Participates in patient education by reinforcing instructions provided by clinical staff.

• Adheres to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards.

• Demonstrates commitment to professional growth through participation in training and mentorship activities.

• Collaborates with team members to support efficient and patient-centered care delivery.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in a designated technical area

Currently enrolled in or recently completed coursework from an accredited Medical Assisting program (certificate, diploma, or associate degree)
