Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, HVAC systems, and related machines. Ensures the physical structure and grounds are properly maintained. Performs preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Troubleshoots mechanical issues and implements effective solutions. Supports a safe and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.


Essential Functions

• Installs and repairs building fixtures, hardware, and finishes.

• Builds, repairs, and installs furniture, cabinetry, partitions, and structural components.

• Performs preventive and reactive maintenance on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and instrumentation systems.

• Completes and documents maintenance work orders and compliance paperwork.

• Operates metalworking tools to fabricate or repair parts as needed.

• Dismantles, inspects, and repairs devices and equipment, replacing defective parts as necessary.

• Lubricates and cleans equipment and mechanical parts.

• Maintains clean and safe grounds, including mowing, trimming, snow removal, and litter control.

• Installs office fixtures and assists with office and equipment moves.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Education Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent experience



Experience Requirement

1-3 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area


An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

All experience must be paid and in the same related field.

Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.

Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.


Certifications & Licensures

Electrical license and HVAC or Plumbing license (Minimum one license), Driver's license

Physical Demands

This position requires regular lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds; regular standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds and up to 25 pounds; intermittent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects over 50 pounds; intermittent sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and intermittent performance of tasks with repetitive motions.
