Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting Nursing Team members with various mobility tasks. Supports supervised walking programs for patients. Aids in repositioning and turning to promote patient comfort and safety. Ensures adherence to established mobility protocols. Collaborates with the care team to enhance patient outcomes.


Essential Functions

• Administers supervised ambulation programs and assists in positioning patients as directed by healthcare providers.

• Collaborates with nursing and therapy staff to identify patients who will benefit from mobility and positioning activities.

• Maintains open communication with therapists, nursing staff, and providers.

• Documents progress and completion of assigned activities on flow sheets within the EPIC EMR.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Education Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent experience



Experience Requirement

0-1 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area


An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

All experience must be paid and in the same related field.

Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.

Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

Physical Demands

This position requires intermittent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds; intermittent standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds and up to 25 pounds; intermittent performance of tasks with repetitive motions; intermittent risk of back injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and intermittent risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job.
