Job Description:
Job Summary
Responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care and ensuring clinical outcomes. Provides, assesses, and documents nursing care while educating, training, and supporting staff development. Develops, implements, and evaluates evidence-based educational programs and competency initiatives. Coordinates interdisciplinary collaboration, fosters professional growth, and integrates research and best practices into clinical and educational processes. Ensures compliance with institutional standards, regulatory requirements, and promotes a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
• Coordinates onboarding and orientation programs to support seamless integration, competency, and retention of new team members.
• Develops, delivers, and evaluates training and educational programs to address practice gaps and enhance team member skills.
• Guides and mentors new team members, facilitating their skill development and integration within the department.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership to develop, validate, and document core and annual competencies for clinical staff.
• Ensures adherence to accreditation, certification, and regulatory requirements in all educational and clinical programming.
• Promotes evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and research by integrating current evidence and leading change initiatives.
• Establishes and maintains community and organizational partnerships to deliver health education and support program goals.
• Monitors and analyzes program outcomes, generates action plans for improvement, and communicates results to stakeholders.
• Maintains clinical competencies and fulfills bedside nursing responsibilities as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement
Associate’s degree in nursing
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred
Experience Requirement
3-5 years of experience in nursing or other relevant area
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Certifications & Licensures
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Based on area assigned: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Non-Violoent Crisis Intervention (CPI), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nurse Core C urriculum (TNCC)
