Job Description:
Job Summary
Responsible for delivering precise radiation treatments to patients. Ensures accurate implementation of prescribed therapy protocols. Maintains patient safety and comfort throughout treatment sessions. Collaborates with clinical teams to optimize patient care. Supports high standards of quality in radiation medicine services.
Essential Functions
• Performs daily quality assurance on treatment machines and reports issues.
• Ensures proper functioning of all treatment equipment and devices.
• Treats patients accurately and efficiently according to physician prescriptions.
• Observes and enforces radiation safety measures for patients and personnel.
• Performs and documents CT-based simulations and assists with treatment planning.
• Maintains accurate patient treatment records and electronic documentation.
• Accurately bills for treatments, devices, and procedures with proper documentation.
• Schedules patient treatments and return visits, and coordinates with clinical staff.
• Instructs and educates students involved in patient treatment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in a designated technical area
Experience Requirement
0–2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Certifications & Licensures
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
