Job Summary

Responsible for executing day-to-day purchasing operations, following established procedures and under supervision, to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Processes purchase orders and coordinates supply arrangements for stock, non-stock, and capital items. Supports procurement activities through accurate record-keeping and compliance with organizational policies. Escalates issues or discrepancies to supervisor as needed.

Essential Functions

• Creates and processes purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established purchasing procedures.

• Coordinates product returns, recalls and backorders, ensuring prompt resolution and compliance with purchasing standards and escalating complex issues to supervisor.

• Responds to internal customer and supplier inquiries regarding order status, delivery timelines, and purchasing processes.

• Maintains accurate purchasing records and documentation to support operational reporting performing routine tasks as assigned and escalating issues to supervisor.

• Assists in month-end close and procurement record maintenance performing routine tasks as assigned and escalating issues to supervisor.

• Investigates and resolves product returns, recalls, backorders, and new supply needs.

• Supports requisitioner training and onboarding by sharing process knowledge and assisting with system navigation.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent experience

Experience Requirement

0-2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
