Job Summary

Responsible for assisting with billing, accounts payable, and follow-up functions to ensure accurate and timely financial processing. Maintains up-to-date account information, verifies eligibility and coverage, and resolves account discrepancies. Coordinates communication and documentation to improve quality and efficiency. Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.


Essential Functions

• Performs general office duties, including mailing, word processing, filing, scanning, faxing, and paperwork processing.

• Greets customers courteously and answers phone calls, routing or taking messages as appropriate and following up as necessary.

• Assists customers with questions or concerns and provides answers or directs to the appropriate individual.

• Registers patients, schedules appointments, verifies insurance, and obtains pre-certifications as needed.

• Checks customers in and out for appointments and schedules referral appointments as necessary.

• Processes information requests, including medical records, while maintaining confidentiality.

• Assists with review and follow-up for Infection Control and utilization review as directed.

• Delivers regulatory notices to patients as directed by case managers.

• Maintains an organized work area and orders supplies to support department operations.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Education Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent experience



Experience Requirement

0-2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area


An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

All experience must be paid and in the same related field.

Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.

Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
