Patient Representative

  • JOB SUMMARY
    • The Patient Representative is a positive, creative, problem solver who helps drive patient experiences to the 99th percentile. This position interacts with and supports team members and Leaders in demonstrating behaviors that will drive best business outcomes.
  • DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
    • Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:
    • Rounds on patients and family members daily to ensure excellent service & quality care & shares rounding feedback with Team Members and Leaders
    • Reinforces and recognizes team members and leaders behaviors that drive excellent service and quality care
    • Creatively problem solves with patients, family members and KDHS Team Members and Leaders to quickly resolve any issues or concerns
    • Looks for process improvements and makes suggestions for improvement
  • EDUCATION/LICENSE/ CERTIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
    • Minimum requirement:
      • High school diploma or equivalent required and 5 years’ experience working in customer service
      • Excellent communication skills
      • High level of empathy
      • Excellent problem solving skills
      • Ability to de-escalate volatile situations
      • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Preferred qualifications:
      • Bachelor’s Degree
      • 5 years’ experience working in customer service
  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT
    • Office environment and Patient care areas/departments
    • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers.
    • The noise level is usually moderate
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    • Constantly operates a computer and other productivity machinery such as printer/copier
    • Constantly required to move about throughout the hospital
    • Constantly required to maintain a stationary position when conducting patient rounds
    • Constantly required to lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds.
    • Frequently required to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
