Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for protecting life and property on premises. Patrols buildings and grounds to prevent fires, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Enforces parking regulations and unlocks doors as needed. Delivers newspapers and assists funeral directors with transportation. Escorts customers and provides support to ensure a safe environment.


Essential Functions

• Operates and maintains security equipment and systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarms.

• Conducts regular maintenance and inspections of security systems to ensure proper functioning.

• Warns violators of rule infractions and apprehends or expels individuals engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.

• Monitors for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking pipes, and unsecured doors.

• Sounds alarms or contacts police or fire departments in emergencies.

• Permits authorized individuals to enter the property and restricts access to unauthorized persons.

• Documents activities in Daily Activity Reports and maintains lost and found logs.

• Investigates incidents and unusual circumstances reported by staff, visitors, physicians, or patients.

• Assists medical personnel in managing hostile or combative patients.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Education Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent experience



Experience Requirement

2-3 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area


An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

All experience must be paid and in the same related field.

Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.

Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
