Creative Services Director

Leads the graphic design, video work of the Integrated Communications team. Works collaboratively with Integrated Communications Director and all members of the team to enhance the Health System’s communications efforts through video, illustrations, logos, layouts, signage, banners, photos and digital graphics.

  • Leads the creative team that designs internal and external publications, creates video and online content, newsletters, magazines, brochures, medical staff directories and similar materials to further the Health System’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Supports the Health System’s online presence through the creation of compelling graphics that communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Works alongside the Integrated Communications director in determining the most effective strategies for meeting the Health System’s communication needs. Leads creation and direction of videography and photography.
  • Mentors others in developing graphic design capabilities. Ensures adherence to UK King's Daughters brand standards. Recommends modifications/updates to brand standards as appropriate. Great attention to detail.
  • Works with vendors and materials management team to secure competitive bids and appropriate pricing on projects.
  • Together with other members of the Integrated Communications team, manages the Health System’s directional signage and poster program.
  • Provides a high level of customer service.
  • Understands and adheres to health system compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Policies, and all other Policies and Procedures;
  • Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of team member, patient, family and organization information;
  • Understands and supports the commitment of UK King’s Daughters in adhering to federal, state and local laws, and rules and regulations governing ethical business practices for health care providers;
  • Understands UK King’s Daughters is committed to its role in preventing health care fraud and abuse and complying with applicable state and federal law related to health care fraud and abuse. Understands that King’s Daughters provides an anonymous hotline (877-327-4145) which serves as one of several tools in reporting suspected fraud, waste and abuse as well as other compliance-related issues.
  • Agrees to report through any of the reporting tools (e.g., anonymous hotline, compliance concern form, compliance email, supervisor, Vice President, Compliance Officer, Chief Compliance Officer) any suspected health care fraud, waste and abuse as well as other compliance-related issues.
  • Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, marketing, or communications.
  • Five to 10 years' experience.
  • Excellent creativity, organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced capabilities in Adobe Creative Suite programs (Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required.
  • Able to meet both short- and long-term deadlines, often under pressure.
  • Works indoors in an office/clinic setting.
  • The noise level is usually moderate.
  • Occasional travel to offsite locations.
  • Constantly required to maintain a stationary position behind a computer.
  • Frequently required to move about inside the department and throughout the facility.
  • Constantly required to communicate telephonically and face to face with colleagues and customers.
