JOB SUMMARY
-
The KDOH Site Administrator role is responsible for the daily leadership of an acute care access hospital, outpatient clinic, and ambulatory care center which may include urgent care, surgical care, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, medical specialties, and outpatient and primary care.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-
Collaborates with the Board, Medical Staff, and administration to develop and implement strategic plans. Listens to and honors patient and family perspectives and choices. Communicates and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in ways that are affirming and useful.

Encourages and supports patient and family participation in care and decision-making at the level they choose. Collaborates with patients, families, care givers and leaders to develop, implement, and evaluate policies and programs, educates professionals, and improve the delivery of care and service to the patient and family.

Complies with regulations governing hospitals and the rules of accrediting bodies and represents the hospital in legal matters. Fosters a smoothly functioning, efficient organization through anticipating problems and the timely and effective resolution of disruptions.

Links the needs of patients and families served, the community, the team members, and providers with the services of KDOH.

Portrays KDOH positively in conversations and public actions. Promotes wellness in the community by participating in health screenings. Seeks opportunities to educate the community about health and wellness, prevention and/or treatment at KDOH. Leads a KDMC Ohio sponsored event for health and wellness in the community.

EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
-
Minimum requirement:
-
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other Healthcare related field.
-
Proven surgical services leadership experience
-
Five years of experience as a leader in a complex health care environment.

Preferred qualifications:
-
MSN with proven surgical services experience or MBA in Healthcare Management
-
Completion of UKKD LEAD Academy.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers.

Occasionally requires travel to and from off-site locations
