JOB SUMMARY

Reports directly to and works under the supervision of the Director-Business Partners and the Director of Human Resources. The Business Partner is a positive, strategic consultant to Leaders and their teams. This position works collaboratively to drive and sustain a positive KDMC culture. This position coaches team members and Leaders to demonstrate behaviors that will drive best business outcomes. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:

Consults with Leaders, providing HR guidance on policies, performance management, process improvement facilitation, workforce planning, business unit restructures, and staffing.

Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

Leads the recruitment and on boarding process assuring qualified candidates are hired and serves as a liaison to staffing agencies, colleges, and industry associations to assist in meeting staffing needs.

Serves as a resource to team members regarding any HR related questions such as career opportunities, benefits, professional growth, workplace concerns, etc.

Trains and participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

EDUCATION/LICENSE/ CERTIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
-
Minimum requirement:
-
Bachelors degree
-
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

Excellent communication skills
-
2 years relevant industry experience
-
Excellent problem solving skills
-
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office

SHRM Certified Professional

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area travel may be expected.

Constantly required to maintain a stationary position behind a computer or in front of display while representing KDHS at job fairs and events.
