- JOB SUMMARY
- The HR/Payroll Clerk is responsible for compiling payroll data to maintain payroll records.
- DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:
- Compiles payroll data such as worked hours, garnishments, taxes, deductions to be withheld, and employee direct deposit information,
- Processes employee absence plans promotions and manual corrections
- Records changes affecting new wages such as exemptions and miscellaneous employee deductions.
- Processing W-4 and direct deposit information changes from existing team member's and additions for new hire orientation
- Customer Service with the payroll call center
- Monitor and audit supervisor access to API
- Prepares and inputs manual direct deposits for off-cycle payments and corrections
- Trains new supervisors in API basic functions
- Understands all payroll/HR policies and functions as resource
- Understands Bargaining Unit contract and functions as resource
- Employee fulfillment services including W-2s
- EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum requirement:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must type 35 CWPM
- Preferred qualifications:
- 3-5 years previous payroll processing experience.
- Associate's Degree
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Crystal Reports.
- Ability to handle hostile conversations.
- WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Works indoors in an office/clinic setting
- The noise level is usually moderate
